All Expressive Forest artworks are original and created by Elyssia Ward in her studio in Glasgow, Scotland.

Each batch of ceramics is slow-made by hand with lots of love and care. Every ceramic piece undergoes several processes from hand-building, hand-painting and being fired in a kiln multiple times. Materials used are usually white stoneware, underglaze and transparent glaze.

Elyssia graduated in 2021 with a First Class Honours Degree in Design for Textiles, specialising in Print. These studies developed a love of surface pattern design and illustration, complimenting a lifelong interest in drawing and painting.

Elyssia started working in the ceramic medium in December 2020, which allowed her skills and interests to evolve into the whimsical world of ceramics found today.
